The plan of the digitalization of the book-depository for the years 2010-2015

From 2010 until 2015, as a long-term project, there is a plan to digitalize materials which are unique, highly demanded by the users’, and which are important for the culture and history of Latvia.

 

 

The manuscripts from the collection of J. Misiņš

 

The diaries and memoirs of the writer K. Krūza about the people who worked in the Latvian culture (from 1904 until 1959)

 

Amount: 70 volumes, 15,000 pages in total of data entries; format: 12x7 cm

The manuscripts of the representatives of Latvian culture and science

 

Amount: 5,000 pages in total of data entries.

 

The collection of the manuscripts of the Riga city:

 

The collection of genealogical data, coats of arms, and photographs of A. Buholcs:

 

 

1.      Collection “Materialien zur Personenkunde der Ostsee – Provinzen (manuscripts and coats of arms until the beginning of 20th century). 

 

 Amount: 53 volumes, 48,000 pages of data entries in total; format: 23x18 cm.

2.     The collection of biographical data of the inhabitants of the Baltic region (manuscripts, printed materials, and photographs until the beginning of 20th century).

 

Amount: 32 volumes, 17,000 pages of data entries in total; format: from A5 to A4.

The materials from the collection of J. K. Brotze (manuscripts and drawings until the beginning of the 19th century):

 

 

1.      “proben von Schriftzugen vom Jahre 1300 bis 1561” and “Sylloge diplomatum Livonian illustrantium“ (the samples of stamps and documents), „Livland am Ende des 18. jh.“ (cartographic materials and information about the Vidzeme and Estonian abbeys), “Wappenbuch” (The Baltic genealogical materials and coats of arms)

 

Amount: 6 volumes, 2,000 pages of data entries in total; format: 33x21 cm.

2.     Collection “Livonica” (the copies of chronicles’ and historical works)

  

Amount: 36 volumes, 15,000 pages of data entries in total; format: from A5 to A4.

 

3.      Collection “Rigensia” (materials related to the history of Riga)

 

Amount: 400 pages of data entries in total; format: A3.

“Missale Rigense” (13th century parchment manuscript)

Amount: 12 volumes, 4,000 pages of data entries in total; format: from A5 to A4

 

The depiction of voyages and diaries (J. Reiters, N. Himzels,  M. Vīdava, V. Krauze 17th and 18th century manuscripts and drawings)

 

Amount: 12 volumes, 4,000 pages of data entries in total; format: from A5 until A4.

The historical collection of the Riga city library (manuscripts, printed materials, and photographs from 1524 until the mid 20th  century)

 

 Amount: 8,000 pages of data entries in total; format: from A5 until A3.

The collection of concert posters of the Riga city theatre (1782-1918)

 

Amount: 137 volumes, 45,000 posters data entries; format: from A4 to A3.

The periodical issues printed in Latvia in the foreign languages (mainly in the German and Russian languages) (until 1945)

 

 Amount: 700,000 pages of data entries in total; format: A5 to A1.

Periodical publications issued by the Latvians living in exile

 

Amount: 48,000 pages of data entries in total; format: A5 to A2.

 

Periodical publications issued in Latvia in the polish language (until 1940)

 

Amount: 12,000 pages of data entries in total; format A4 and A3.
